VinaCert’s laboratory has officially started its operation since July 2009, its function is to conduct testing activities complying with the requirements of the ISO 17025 standard, in charge for the implementation of new testing services, participating in the application review for certification of products conforming standards.
Overcoming the difficulties of economic crisises and facilities, the laboratory still maintains its operations and provides many useful services for customers as well as benefits for the company, developed to be a modern laboratory, satisfying the international standard of ISO / IEC 17025:2005 (in 2012).
The modern laboratory
On 1st Oct 2012, the laboratory was officially purchased new equipment: Agilent 4100 Microwave Plasma-Atomic Emission Spectrometer (MP-AES). This MP-AES was the first of its machinery category in Vietnam and was counted as the biggest forward step in the field of atomic spectroscopy during the past decade. There are only 2 machines in use in Vietnam at the moment.
In addition, the laboratory is a crowded centre with modern equipments such as UV spectroscopy equipment - Vis Cary 60 - compact and lightest for routine analysis of solids, liquids and gas in the laboratory; TG 16 centrifuges - WS; gas chromatography, gas chromatography, liquid chromatography, Liquid Chromatography Mass Spectrometry, automatic protein cutter, etc.
In order to minimizing time and cost for customers, the laboratory uses electronic software to manage and retrieve records/test results which means customer data management records becomes easier, more convenient, faster - ignore errors or losses occur.Data is entered once completely and accurately.
At the moment, laboratory annually conducts tests for thousands of samples quickly, and accurately, rewarding confidence to customers.
The laboratory was accredited conforming with the international standard ISO / IEC 17025:2005
In 2012, the Bureau of Accreditation (BOA) has accredited VinaCert’s microbiological testing laboratory conforming with the ISO/IEC 17025:2005 standard. The laboratory’s code is No. 407 VILAS.
ISO/IEC 17025:2005 is considered as one of the international standards, certifying the competence of calibration and testing laboratories. This standard covers all the requirements that calibration and testing laboratories need to meet if they want to prove to customers & authorities that they use management system, which can control operational processes to assess whether the operational processes has sufficient technical competence or not, and whether they can provide accurate results. This standard plays an important role in commerce, production development, productivity and customer protection.
Achieving the certification of ISO/IEC 17025:2005 standard is proving the laboratory’s position, brand and huge step forward as well as the competence of VinaCert. Any test results conducted by the laboratory will be recognized worldwide.
The application of ISO / IEC 17025:2005 helps improve laboratory competence, confirming the reliability of results from our tests and calibrations resulting in the customer confidence.
The products VinaCert able test and inspect include: milk powder, fisheries, fish sauce, candy, coffee, tea, glutamate, synthetic household detergents, foods, food additives ...
In particular, the laboratory has been designated by The Department of Livestock Husbandry as the laboratory to conduct tests of animal feeds and designated by The Department of Crop Production to perform tests of fertilizers.
With tireless efforts to achieve above mentioned proud results including enormous contribution of the laboratory’s staff and the clear decisions of the company’s leaders. Mr. Nguyen Duc Tu -– in charge of the laboratory technical competence, said: "The laboratory has received close attention and clear directions from the BOD. In addition, the laboratory’s staff are engineers dedicated, enthusiastic and highly responsible in their jobs. 100% of staff graduated at the prestigious universities of Vietnam such as: Hanoi University of Technology, Vietnam National University Hanoi, etc., specialized subjects: analytical chemistry, food technology, biotechnology ... "
The results achieved in the past 6 years are as a solid foundation for further laboratory to realize the more challenging objectives in the future.
